Abstract

Die casting is an effective production process for manufacturing complex shaped cast products. Die casting dies for aluminum and copper alloy die casting are exposed to severe thermal, mechanical and chemical loads. Capacity and in-service die casting die life are limited for various reasons, Die casting dies are usually made of hot work tool steel in order to minimize die defects. In this thesis, the optimum filling time, injection pressure and die temperature for better solidification of the filling material are analyzed by taking the input parameters molten u (Pc) temperature, Pressure, and Cycle time.  In this thesis, thermal analysis done on the die at different materials, to determine heat flux and temperature distribution 3D modeling done in CREO parametric software and analysis done in ANSYS
