The aim of this article is to analyse the alternate source of production of paper i.e. from the agricultural residues. The quantity of agricultural waste rapidly increases day by day due to high demand of food by increasing population. These agricultural residues are burnt by farmers which creates many environmental problems which are faced by whole world. Therefore, there is a need to overcome on these problems by adopting recycling method. This agricultural waste can be applied as an effective alternative for the production of paper which helps in reducing the pollution as well as deforestation problem. This Review summarizes the study of process of production of paper and also deals with the types and chemical composition of different types of agricultural residues. The whole process of paper manufacturing from agricultural waste is eco-friendly. Basically, this study upgrades the concept of “from waste to wealth’’.
