Cavitation is formation of vapour bubbles of flowing liquid. Vaporization of the liquid start When the flowing liquid in a system, the pressure at any point is equal to or less than vapour pressure. These vapour bubbles are creating high impact pressure and collapse metallic surface and induce the noise, vibration and decrease the efficiency of centrifugal pump and hydraulic turbine. In this paper deals with preventative measure against cavitation in various aspect was discussed.
